About the Founder
With 6+ years of experience in formulation and analytical chemistry, I help emerging, indie, and established personal-care brands turn product concepts into thoughtful, stable formulas that are ready for the next stage of development.
My path into formulation started in the laboratory, where I developed a strong foundation in analytical testing, formulation development, stability, troubleshooting, and understanding why a formula behaves the way it does, not just whether it works. Today, based in Washington, D.C., I work with brands developing skincare, haircare, body care, and other personal-care products, with a particular interest in high-performance, sustainable, vegan, and sensitive-skin formulations.
Our goal at Skin By K.Lynn is simple: good formulation backed by honest science, practical testing, and no unnecessary laboratory theater.
What is ours, and what is not
Stability studies and formulation are done on this bench. Microbial testing is run by a certified third party. EU and UK Responsible Person work and signed safety assessments are done by credentialed partners, because both legally require someone established in that market.
Conducted under monitored in-house environmental conditions to support internal shelf-life assessment and product development. This does not constitute ISO 17025 certification or regulatory approval.
